| M.3. Zion Trip---slot canyons (36 images) |
| April 3, 2006. A tour guide took us through 2 slot canyons that are southwest of Zion National Park. We couldn't see the bottom half of the first slot canyon because it was too full of water......we just went through the top half and we were still walking in waist-deep water (now that's pretty deep considering how much higher our waists are than the average waist height!) Since we got jipped out of half our tour we payed for, he took us to a second slot canyon.....it had no water. |

| May 26th-June 2nd, 2006. Awesome alaskan cruise!! I went with my sister Emily and her in-laws (because Emily's husband, Jeff, is serving our country in Iraq. Thank you, Jeff! and thank you, Jeff!) And thank you to Jeff's wonderful family who took me in and made me feel completely welcome!

| Recently back from her summer job in Alaska, my mom and her friend, Rick, came to visit us for the weekend. We went hiking up in Logan canyon and enjoyed some beautiful fall colors...my favorite season! |

| S. Wildfire! (6 images) |
| This was the view from my front porch looking east. There were 4 smaller fires that grew and merged and quickly burned up the side of the mountain. Around 8,000 people were without electricity because of the fire. Our power was out before we got home from work and didn't come back on until almost 5 A.M.---12 hours. It's amazing to realize just how much we depend on electricity! |
